Michael Wertenberger, Jr.


Michael, first and foremost is a Christian and attends church weekly. Michael married his wife Brenda in 1993, and they have two daughters (Amber & Ashley), a granddaughter (Chyler), and a grandson (Mason). Gallatin, Tennessee is where Michael and his family reside, after growing up in South Bend, Indiana.

Michael graduated from Volunteer State Community College in 1990, and from Middle Tennessee State University in 1992. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance & Insurance. His studies included five different insurance courses, as well as being licensed since 1991. He also served as Vice President of the Gamma Iota Sigma Insurance Fraternity during the 1991-1992 school year. His knowledge and experience has expanded from being a company representative with Humana, HCA's OneSource PPO Network, and CompBenefits, to being an independent agent. His desire to work more closely with employers and their employees lead to his lifelong dream of starting his own insurance agency.

Michael is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), Tennessee Association of Health Underwriters (TAHU), and the Middle Tennessee Association of Health Underwriters (MTAHU). During 2000-2001, Michael served as the MTAHU Secretary and the Communications Director. From 2001-2003 he served as the MTAHU Vice President and was presented with the Underwriter of the Year Award in May 2003.
